Matías Milla will join the grid for this weekend’s TCR South America / TCR World Tour races at La Pedrera in Argentina, racing a Lynk & Co 03 for PMO Motorsport. Milla, 38, has raced at least once in every season of TCR South America since the series launched in 2021, mostly in endurance races. In 2021 he partnered with Juan Ángel Rosso in one event, whilst in 2022 he partnered with Alceu Feldmann for one endurance race before joining the grid for the season finale with Squadra Martino. Earlier this year, Milla partnered with Juan Manuel Casella at Squadra Martino for the endurance race at Termas de Río Hondo.
Milla made his name in his native Súper TC2000 series in Argentina, débuting in 2014 after winning the title in the lower-rank TC2000 series the year before. He secured two outright victories, in 2019 and 2022 respectively, when racing with the Ambrogio Racing Renault squad. His best overall classification was in 2019 when he was sixth overall. PMO Motorsport has had a turbulent season with its Lynk & Co cars this year. Having expanded to four of the Geely-built cars at the start of the year, the outfit was down to just two for the most recent event in El Pinar. Milla will race the car which Walter Hernández took to victory in the season opener in Cordoba.
